"Las Aventuras de Cata y Juli," which translates to The adventures of Cata and Juli, is a series of children's books narrating my two dogs' travels through Perú. The books are in Spanish showcasing exciting facts and details through rhyme. The books are designed to appeal to young children with very big and colorful images and young readers because of the easy reads and clear text.
DESIGN PROCESS
ILLUSTRATION AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE
The illustrations are mixed media using a collage of authentic dog images, illustrated backgrounds, and other characters. As an educator myself, it was fascinating to design a series of books that I would determine the aesthetics and composition plus the educational content that would make these books captivating to a younger audience.

During the pandemic, I created educational entertainment for families by providing free videos of the books narrated. I made them more relatable by reading the books with my niece and nephew.
