I later used the complex shapes created in the puzzle to make an immersive kaleidoscopic experience using after effects. The motion graphics piece’s slow movement and repetitive nature are captivating, and it takes you to a liminal space in your mind where you can just relax following the soothing movement of the shapes.
MOTION GRAPHICS
This project is the one that unlocked my fear of facing After effects. I was procrastinating day after day about the use of this program because it felt daunting. With the wise advice of my teacher, I decided to dive into it and play, a mantra that I keep repeating in my design practice. So I allowed myself to play with this program, and I achieved an aesthetically pleasing motion graphics piece.
