I find typography challenging in my design practice. Making, constructing, putting, and form-making are my strongest assets. Typography, on the other hand, is something I’ve started to master but with great effort and investing time to get to know how it works. Through this series of type-based posters, I got to try different techniques to learn more about this essential skill in graphic design.
TYPOGRAPHY AS FORM
My safest bet when approaching a typography project is to view characters as form in order to understand the white space each specific letter generates and how to utilize it to my advantage when designing a poster. In the next series of type posters, this approach was what I had in mind to design them.
